Every so often I receive gift art from some very talented folks who dig my cartoons and I'm both honored and humbled by every one. I figured it was about time I give them some space here on kevinbolk.com, so I've set up a new section over in the gallery. There's a number of hilarious gold pants artworks inspired by this strip in there too (I guess they're catching on), so check 'em out!

And again, thanks to all you folks who made these for me. If you've created some of your own, please send them to me@kevinbolk.com and I'll proudly post them for all the world to see.

In other news, I've finally kicked this month-long head cold and am catching up on all of my projects. For you folks who emailed me about it, yes...I'm My Own Mascot is updating again. Thanks for your enthusiasm and encouragement on that. I'm also working with the folks over at Interrobang Studios on some some big changes to our website and comics. I'll update you guys when I have more details about that. All I can say for now is I'm really excited about the direction we're going in. I'll keep you all posted.

And on that note, it's back to the ol' drawing board (minus the hot tea and cough drops this time. Yay!).

Sorry for the site being down over the weekend. There were some technical issues with our server but thankfully nothing was lost. Things are up and running now, as you can plainly see. Still ironing some of the bugs out though.

I posted new art in the illustration gallery. I got on a bit of Leiji Matsumoto kick and decided to do some tribute art to practice my outer-space painting. I really liked the way it came out, so you guys should go take a look. And, of course, there's new 'I'm My Own Mascot" strips that were posted when the site went down. Due to a VERY busy weekend, I didn't get a new one up for yesterday, but there should be one this evening or tomorrow morning.

So, this entire week I've been on jury duty. Well, technically I would say it's stand-by for jury duty as most of the time is spent in a big room waiting to be called for voir dire at which point you MIGHT be picked to be on an actual jury. Jury selection is VERY tedious. Thank goodness they let you bring books and stuff into the waiting area.

Never missing a chance to do some cartooning, I brought along my sketch book and pens and did another one of my b&w four panels (which I've posted for your enjoyment) and some sketching. Situations like this make for a GREAT opportunity to practice drawing different types of people, so I filled a few pages with them. I haven't decided if I'm going to post said pages yet, as my sketch work is REALLY rough and I always feel so exposed when I share it, but it still makes for some good practice.

My last day for it is Monday, so maybe I'll be inspired to do another comic. Until then, YIKES, do I have a lot of deadlines. Time to crack the whip and hop to it.
